Booking & Cancellation Policy
Life happens and we understand that sometimes things don't go to plan. However, as a small business we rely on having our clients turn up to their booked appointment.
When you book an appointment with About Face, we set that time and stylist/therapist aside just for you. If you cancel with late notice or simply do not show up at all, it impacts on us significantly and inconveniences the many other clients that have been turned away because we were fully booked.
We require a minimum of 48 hours notice if you wish to cancel or re-schedule you appointment. This allows us time to fill that appointment time.
We greatly appreciate your support of our business and we hope you understand and respect our booking and cancellation policy. By proceeding with booking an appointment, it is acknowledgement of this cancellation policy.
All clients will be required to leave a non-refundable booking fee to secure their appointment, which will be deducted from the cost of the actual appointment.
The booking fee will be transferred to your next appointment when more than 48 hours notice is provided. Any notice within 48 hours will forfeit the booking fee.
All clients will be required to leave a $50 advanced booking fee to secure the appointment.
We run by appointment, therefor late arrivals of 15 minutes or more may be unable to be serviced, and if so, the cancellation policy will apply.
Please advise About Face if you have to leave by a certain time. Appointments cancelled due to scheduling conflicts will incur the cancellation policy.
All no-show and late cancellation clients will be required to pay a 50% booking fee for all future appointments, and repeat offenders may be requested to prepay 100% of the booking or refused a future booking.
Booked services cannot be cancelled on arrival of appointment.
COVID is treated just like any other cancellation. If you need to reschedule due to COVID-related concerns, our cancellation policy still applies.
All clients will be sent a confirmation SMS 4 days prior to their appointment. You may also choose to opt for an email 7 days prior to your appointment (please ask us how) reminder emails provide a detailed description of appointments booked. We kindly ask you not to rely on these messages as we cannot be held responsible for phone or network issues.
Please note: it is an automated system and can only receive “YES” or “NO” responses, no personal messages.
If you call to reschedule when we are closed or our phone goes to voicemail, please leave a message and we will action your request as per the date of your message.
In line with our customer satisfaction guarantee if there are any problems with your service it must be reported within 1 (one) week of the original service by phone call or in person. All redos must be within 7 days of the original service.

Cancellation & No Show Charges
You can cancel or change your booking online in My Booking History or by calling the salon up to 48 hours in advance of your visit with no extra charge. However if you fail to adhere to the cancellation policy as stated under the terms and conditions the salon has the right to forfeit your booking fee or in certain cases charge you the balance of your booking amount left to pay at the appointment by way of your payment method.
